As the third largest city in the state of Missouri, moving to Springfield would be a blast! Located in the Springfield-Branson Metropolitan area, you can find the city in the lower left-hand corner of the state. It’s often referred to as the “Birthplace of Route 66,” one of America’s original highways.
They city is mainly flat with some cliffs and hills, but this doesn’t create a conflict for nature-lovers. In Springfield, you’ll find a ton of streams, creeks, and rivers for all sorts of outdoor activities. There are 92 parks, 3 golf courses, a zoo, and many other city-owned recreational spaces!
Not much of an outdoorsy person? This city also has a wide variety of museums, ranging from air and military museums to art museums. In addition, there are several historic sites to see here!
Springfield is home to a number of colleges, including Missouri State University and Ozarks Technical Community College.
